My name is Claudia Valaperti and I grew up in Lugano, Switzerland. Following my lifelong passion for gemstones, I studied the basics of gemology at the Swiss Gemological Institute (SSEF) in Basle, Switzerland, earning the SSEF Basic Gemologist Certificate. Thanks to my skills, I worked for a renowned jeweler on the exclusive Freiestrasse in downtown Basle.
To achieve new goals, I moved with my husband to Toronto, Canada, where I graduated with honors from the Gemology program at the George Brown College. I also earned the internationally recognized Diploma in Gemology of the Canadian Gemological Association (CGA) and therefore became a gemologist fellow (FCGmA). To combine my jewelry passion with my interest for color and style, I became a graduate of George Brown College’s Image Consulting program. My love for beauty and makeup artistry also led me to attend a makeup course at Paramita Academy in Toronto.
After moving back to Switzerland and becoming proud mother of an adorable baby boy, I founded Jewelry Color & Style. Then, with great joy, we welcomed our second child – a sweet baby girl. With my multifaceted education in gemology, image consulting, and makeup, I was able to develop my innovative approach to define your best gemstone and metal colors, and jewelry designs. One of the most satisfying aspects of my work is providing you with new tools to become aware of the various jewelry colors and styles that match your unique features, creating a visual image of yourself that transforms your natural beauty into a new brilliant you!
