I will show you a great idea for an elegant candleholder, using a glass hurricane arrangement. A glass hurricane provides a simple, elegant and creative centerpiece that can be used time and time again. The possibilities are endless. Simply choose a color scheme and visit your local craft store for prices and supplies. A beautiful and inexpensive centerpiece can be easily created at home, therefore do the work yourself and make your special event a memorable success!
Materials
For this creation you can use:
1) a glass hurricane candleholder that has to be pretty large;
2) a pillar candle to fit the hurricane holder;
3) colorless or colored glass gemstones;
4) decorative elements (I chose little wooden leaves);
5) dried flowers or flower petals.
Procedure
Step 1
First place the candle in the glass hurricane holder. The candle I chose is yellow. Color is very important for the overall effect of your table. Select colors that either complement your table linens or create contrasting accents to the basic color scheme.
Step 2
Then place the glass gemstones around the candle in the holder, in order to add instant glamour to your creation.
Step 3
On top of the glass gemstones place some decorative elements, such as little wooden leaves. Depending on the occasion, colors can vary, and you can decide whether or not to place flowers or other decorations inside and around the candleholder.
Step 4
Now sprinkle dried flowers or flower petals and glass gemstones all around the candleholder to finish this wonderful setting. The flower petals highly enhance the look of this special centerpiece and give it a very romantic and soft visual effect.
